I am so excited about launching this blog as it coincides with the launch of our brand new website. Oh, and happy new year to you all too!
I’m Lee, an Interior Designer and the Owner and Creative Director of Burnt Earth Designs.
Until we acquired this business two and a half years ago, I had little idea of how a tile was even made? I had no idea how beautiful it would be to watch a peice of pottery be thrown on a wheel. I had never in my wildest dreams thought that one day I would be in charge of making these one of a kind pieces of art!
And here we are! A dynamic team and creators of unique handmade and hand-painted tiles and ceramics.
Burnt Earth Designs was founded by Colleen Meyburgh who passed away after a short battle with cancer in 2014. She was an incredible and sophisticated lady who had an exceptional flair for all things innovative.
Design, colour, and creativity are the very elements that brought the two of us together. It is my wish to continue her legacy and to change the world one Burnt Earth Design piece at a time.
